Consistency

The first problem businesses face is not saying enough, or even saying nothing. If you say nothing, no one will hear. If no one hears you, they won’t know you exist. It is as simple as that.

This is especially true for small businesses. They don’t have the resource or time to create content consistently, and so this gets pushed aside in favour of more pressing tasks.

Value

The second problem businesses face is saying the wrong thing. There is an overwhelming temptation (understandably) to make it all about you; the newest product, the products differences and benefits. However, this isn’t particularly interesting or valuable.

You want to become a part of their lives they look forward to, not an annoyance.
